Hi guys , I have a few questions about my car , its blue , I bought autoglym super resin polish and autoglym wax , when the car is washed I wax it , comes up well , then I tried the polish but it's like a white residue that won't rub in well , so I normally just wax it and leave it at that .
Am I doing it wrong ? should I polish before i wax or vice versa , confused , or do they both do the same thing ? only need for one ? I am a novice so be nice to me :)

Also interior is black plastic trim and leather , a bit faded , so I tried apc , also back to black and it has made the trim go white :( can anyone help me please ? thanks for any replies .

Super resin polish cleans and polishes (use first), HD wax adds protection (is applied afterwards). Use in that order only, although no need to reapply the srp the next time you wash and wax, just every six months. If you have lots of white residue with srp you are either using too much or not polishing it into the paintwork enough. When you wax, apply the thinnest coat you can.

APC diluted down is fine to clean plastics, wipe down afterwards with a damp microfibre cloth. Most back to black type products are usually for renewing faded bumpers and trim (exterior plastics only). Use a water based dressing which isn't full of silicone oils for dressing plastics and vinyl. A low gloss or satin finish looks much better on interiors. You may use the APC again and remove the back to black from interior trim. Use a gentle cleaner only on your leather.

I think you pretty much figured out the polish and wax issue, its polish first and wax second. The polish you have is a very mild abrasive polish with fillers to fill and hide swirls and light scratchs. I read a good FAQ on Super Resin Polish somewhere, if I find it I will post it up. As the fillers will fall out over time you need to protect it, so you then apply your wax. Remember to apply wax very lightly and best to do a couple of coats. In fact you could seal it before waxing to get a better lasting finish.

Regarding the interior trim and leather, the interior trim can be cleaned with a mild apc, if you are using a household apc make sure it does not contain bleach. You need to wipe/wash the apc off with clean water and allow to dry before applying the trim restorer, I'm not sure about back to black, but check the instructions to see if its recommended for interior use. You may need to buff or apply more than one coat. I found the autoglym vinyl and rubber care pretty good on on interior trim.

I have only used dedicated leather cleaners and conditioners on leather seats usually the stuff found in supermarkets, but I have never had a full leather trim interior only half leather, which is more like 15% leather:). I believe Gliptone is one of the better leather cleaner and conditioners available.

    Hope that helps.
