Hey I'm dyslexic and i have been assigned a reader for my junior cert. I'm putting this on the leaving cert because if anyone had a reader for their junior or leaving can you tell me what its like and does it help? I sat within everyone else during the mocks and the school hasn't really said anything to me.

You will meet the reader a few days befoe the exam. It might be a teacher from the school.

They will read the paper or any part of it for you as many times as you want. They may not help you with answers or spellings.

I find for many of my students it makes them attempt all the questions which certainly helps them as they tend to give up and leave early if on their own reading.
