I love a good sock and will be buying online. Anyone have any favorites?

It depends what sport you need socks for really. But if its for walking or jogging. These are excellent, although expensive, I think they are worth it.

What are the advantages of training socks over regular socks? I always wear normal socks when running/playing astroturf would I be much better off with specialised socks?

I think you would. They are perfect for avoiding blisters, especially if you are running long distance. They are also good for not holding moisture. And even after you wash them, you would notice by feeling them, they are only a little damp. They dry in real quickly.

I think they are better than the "1000 mile" socks. Just my opinion.
