Sky Multiroom Cabling before Install

Hi

Just looking for some quick info.

Am in the middle of Renovating our house and want to get Multiroom in our Dining Room already have Sky in the house.

My question is I am ready to finish plastering and laying floor and want to hide cabling to the box but not ready to order from Sky yet as don't have the TV and not paying for the service before the room is liveable.

My question is can I get the cable Sky use to connect the box to the dish somewhere in advance so I can bury the cable underneath floor and plaster.

If so where and what am I asking for

this is the stuff you need.
Not sure what length you require.
as you are covering them up best to future proof.

Run 4 just in case. (you never know what you will need in the future, )
1 for saorview and one for distribution from sky box and 2 for sky .

and 2 cat5e .. blu ray , media player, wii,/ ps3 etc..

Make sure you put in a cable for the phoneline. Multiroom requires a phone connection to every box. Minimum 2 sat cables per Sky box, as said run more if possible.

If seperating the box from the TV you need a HDMI type cable in between.

Cheers for the info cable is pricey enough considering sky install is free

In relation to the phone line I have UPC.

UPC told me their phone line is not compatible however sky told me it definitely is I was planning on using wireless transmitters to connect the line to the box should this work

I have only heard of Sky working with UPC phone lines in the Dublin area. You/good installer may need to tweak the settings in order to get it to work. A wireless phone extender should work but if removating it's best to install a cable.

The phone line must work for them to allow you multiroom. Otherwise they charge full price for second box.

UPC line works with SKY callback in most of DUblin, I heard in Limerick doesn't work.

I have multiroom and not paying full price even that my phone line is not connected as doesn't work because it's with Blueface, even when called to roder the girl said probably won't work but she will get the installer to come and look at it, installer came said won't work for call back but did the install anyway, he said if I get letters about phone line explain my situation and should stop getting the letters.
