    Hi all,

If you are around Market Cross this Saturday the 19th 11am-4pm, Order of Malta will be providing FREE Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar checks and will be offering members of the public the opportunity to learn more about CPR without the LIPS, information on membership and first aid courses.

If you would like to have the Blood Sugar check carried out we recommend that you do not Drink or Eat 2 hours prior to the check.

We also have a raffle with prizes on the day, face painting, medieval battle reinactment and Weapon display. Raffle tickets are onsale now at Specsavers, Market Cross Kilkenny.

Also we have a fantastic draw in giving you the chance to win an afters-wedding package anywhere in Ireland or FREE childcare place at Grass roots Kilkenny.

I think opportunistic health screening is a great idea. But how will you deal with people who have been out and about the whole day? A lot of these will have raised blood pressure because they've been out walking.

Fair play for getting stuck in and trying to do something for public health. The burden of undiagnosed high blood pressure seems to be quite high in Ireland.
