Part L Regulations Self Build & Heating Installation

    Hi

Currently commencing a 3000sq foot self build.

Caught under new Part L regulations introduced at the end of last year, therefore have been advised that a more complex heating system is required than that which may have been possible to install a couple of years back.

    Plan is to install:
UFH downstairs & low temp rads upstairs
    Solar panels on garage roof
    Air to water heat pump
    Mechanical Recovery Heat Recovery System

Just got a first quote for almost €50k for supplying and installing the above aswell as plumbing the house which has set me back a bit!

Anyone have any thoughts or recent experience regarding such an integrated system? What cost figures would you expect for such an installation.

    Thanks

This might do better in renewable energies. Let me know if you want it moved.
