Apologies if this is not in the right place, I'm studying for an exam and one question is Explain the terms 'Communication protocol' and 'Network protocol'. I've found lots of information online but it seems ambiguous and they both seem to mean the same thing to my untrained eye. Can anyone give me a plain english explanation. It's within the realms of the ISO/OSI model if that's any help the course is not an IT course but we have a module in networking.

    Regards,

    L
