Options for getting from N7 to the IFSC

I often drive from Cork to the IFSC, and usually need to be there around 9ish.

Sometimes I go up night before, but other times I leave at 5.30 - 6.00, take two hours to get to the red cow, and anywhere from 60 - 90 minutes to get from there to the IFSC via Inchicore and down the quays.

Someone suggested recently that I should head north out the M50 and back in via the Port Tunnel, think I'd hit 12.50 in tolls but regardless, would I do this portion of the trip in 30 odd minutes around 8am?

Any suggestions? An extra hour in bed would be well worth 12.50 and a couple euro in diesel... is it feasible?

Would you consider turning off at Citywest and park the car and hop on the luas? Luas runs from Saggart to Connolly and generally takes about 45mins. Save you petrol and parking as it's currently free to park in Citywest Shopping centre! Think luas is about €4.80 return.
Not to mention you could have an auld snooze on the luas on the way in. ;)

Should have mentioned public transport is not an option due to various reasons.
