A few dayZ gameplay questions ( not technical )

Hey folks, just a few quick Dayz questions, the threadnought is all random information and most of it is about what you need to get it running so I just want to ask a few general questions here and then let the thread die. Thanks.

Can you have more than 1 Dayz profile in Arma2? I made 2 arma profiles but they both load up the same character I want to play with 2 sets of friends..

Where are all the Cows, Sheep, Pig, and Goats? My friend has like 500 blood, keeps falling down and we are in the middle of nowhere, and we are running really low on basic supplies. Someone said the forrest, I went into a massive forrest and combed it for 30 mins and I was near starvation when I finished..and no animals.

Towns.. We went to the largest town besides Cherno, the one on the far left of the map,a quick detour before we were to go to the airport. We get there, its packed full of walkers so we know itll have some nice supplies. I pull out the enfield and snipe one from about 200 yards away ( im well outside the town and want to cull some of the walkers so we can enter a little easier ) That one walker dies and 20 walkers from the far side of town come running.. you cant kill 20 walkers. So how do u get into the town ?

Barb wire.. Found a little army base? inside a forrest with a massive Spire in the centre that had red and white stripes, bard wire protecting it .. how do I remove barb wire?


Back packs. I had a knife in my back pack, I clicked Open Bag.. I click the left arrow icon beside the knife on the left menu .. and I end up making my knife disappear.. how do I just move it into my inventory ?

Has anyone testing throwing a flare/smoke grenade towards a town and seeing if all the zombies run to it while u go loot the town? What about if my friend shoots one, runs around in circles and I loot the town and then he d/c's and rejoins ? Not fond of this one, but if theres no other way in then ..

Does the tent offer anything other than a storage place and is it permanent until another player takes it ?

What do you guys keep in your backpack compared to what you keep in your inventory? What takes priority?


Dont need overly detailed responses, dont want to waste your time, just a quick bullet point answer to any ye know would be welcommed. Thanks !

Just tried the other profile thing as the group im playing with wont really be around this weekend so wanted to try a second profile to mess around in cherno, ran into the same problem and logged back to the same character just had a different name.
So guessing no you cant get a 2nd profile which on the one hand is annoying as you cant play with more than one group really but at the same time kinda understandable because it could be very easily used as a gamebreaking mechanic
