I have problems with it and results in high weak shots to the right

    thanks

Ya that was the plan alright but my camera has gone a bit haywire recently so will do once the technical issues have been resolved

The release happens all by itself of you let it.try a lighter grip, you may be strangling threethe club and coming in way open.

Try holding the club out in front of you and just swing the club back and forth just parallel with the ground. See the club open, square and closing. Use a light grip and concentrate on keeping your wrists passive and just let them do what they do.
This should give you the proper feeling for a good release then try to hit a few with this feeling. It may feel very strange at first but if it does it only shows how much your writs are involved and your possibly trying to control or steer it with your wrists. Just let it go. The wrists will hinge naturally.they look after themselves. If this is the problem you see a massive increase in distance with the correct release.

youtube has loads of vids on the subject.

My tip would be to take practice swings with the club held straight out in front of you in mid air (you stand straight, no need to bend knees etc) and swing it on a level plane. As you do this, you will feel the turn over of your hands much more and that is what you want to happen as you swing hit thru the ball in your normal swing. The more you practice it, the more normal the release will become.

    Thanks for the input guys.
So what I'm getting is the parallel swings drill for the feel of it but I can't force it
    And check my grip tightness

    tks

I have a similar release issue whereby I am holding off the club through impact.

The symptom is generally a fat shot because my hips have over rotated through impact which causes my spine angle to drop towards the ground (from a DTL view) as my arms are lagging so far behind.

It also causes poor weight transfer as the hold off causes my body to hang back and won’t allow me to get through the shot correctly.

Don’t know if anyone has a similar issue but am struggling to rectify it.

I find Mark Crossfield's YT videos excellent.

Something that might be also worth a try is feel like your swinging out to the right through impact.you may be pulling your arms in at impact and that feeling might get you to extend through after impact.Light grip as mentioned and club in your fingers should help also.

Should happen automatically as previously stated. But doesn't always. Concentrating on turning your right hand over at impact is a simple but effective way of making a good contact. If you're hitting it high and right this will bring down the height and, depending on how much you turn the right hand over the left, start to draw the ball.
