We're due to transfer between an EasyJet flight from Greece (North Terminal) and RyanAir (South Terminal).

Since we originally booked thr flights Ryanair has changed our departure time to be earlier by half an hour.

How long do people think it would take to transfer between these flights with /without checked-in bags ?
What can we do if we're not happy with the new Ryanair flight times ?

Not a lot if the change is only 30 minutes - anything under two/two and a half hours is asking for trouble with bags. Even without I'd like at least that.

2 hours without checked bags should be enough in Gatwick.
There is a lot of walking involved from the Easyjet gate to the monorail that connects the terminals.

Anything less than 1 and 3/4 hours would require a good pair of runners but it can be done.

But it will be an anxious first flight if it encounters any delays on the way from Greece.

This is where online check in with Ryanair comes in very hand though.

Head straight to the departure gate in the South terminal when you get there.

Also, keep your boarding pass from the Easyjet flight.

They often just check these in Gatwick to get people through immigration quicker.

If you don't have it, they may send you down to passport control which will slow everything down.

if you want to take the risk of ATR in greece going on strike , delaying you by two hours so that you get to gatwick 25 mins befroe check in on your next flight closes , so you have to collect your bags , then have to run from the north to the south terminal , go thorugh security, who give you every check known to man cos you are running - then run to the checkin and
making it by one minute exactly

getting on board a sweating exahausted nervous wreck , and deciding the greeks can go fcuk themselves from now on.

then by all means go ahead.

    i forgot to add ,

    fcuk greece .
