The summer season in Tramore is being kick started with a four day Bluegrass festival this June Bank Holiday weekend! Starting on June 1st, the 1st International Bluegrass Festival presented by Joe Lonregan (who was part of the team who setup the Dunmore Bluegrass) with 18 acts over four days, in four venues from 2pm - 2am.

The main venue is The Grand Hotel, which are doing special weekend rates including Free music tickets. The other three venues are The Vic, Raglan Road and St Leger Bar. Some of the acts lined up are; Lands End, Down & Out, Bending the Strings, Well Enough Alone, Watery Hill Boys, Kentucky Cow Tippers and Jonathan Mannes.

Its been a while since Tramore has had a festival like this, so its great to see a new festival being kick started which has huge potential to be massive success year after year. Tickets are €10 for a day pass and €20 for a weekend pass.

I sponsored all the designs and got them all the printing to help the festival get on its feet as it has no major sponsor - the logo, flyer, poster, facebook graphics and signs. Discover Tramore is of course, helping out promoting the festival and are delighted to be working with the festival having worked with local festivals in the past here in Tramore.

This is exactly the type of thing that will help tourism in the town and I am delighted to be approached and on the team voluntarily to give the festival a helping hand. Hopefully people will come out and support the festival, its all done by locals and using local businesses.
