Large app download problem

    Hi there,
    We're trying to fix a problem on a HTC Desire running Cyanogenmod 7.0

    Large apps downloaded from the market fail before they begin.

    The phone has been reset recently, but beforehand I had the same problem. I followed instructions to enter these in the terminal;
    mkdir /mnt/sdcard/market-download-cache
    su
    cd /cache
    mv download download.bak
    ln -s /mnt/sdcard/market-download-cache download
    ls -ahl .

    After reseting the phone for someone else to use it, the same problem has arisen. We're following the same instructions, but this time it's saying that the file already exists and it won't let it be overwritten.

    Is it because the procedure was followed before? Can anyone say what to do from here?

    Thanks v.much
