I've had 'the' issue and would like to sort it ASAP and then go about the warranty work. Anyone have one?

Well the bike and shifter are less than 12 months old so I'll be within the warranty period, but there's racing to be done and I really, really, don't want to have to do it on the hack. Who did you contact about the warranty Jimbo, sram themselves or your LBS?

I've a Planet X so will be on the phone to both the guys in Athlone and the UK customer services in the morning.

Went back to halfordswith it, in all fairness the guy in blanchardstown did all he could for me but to no avail.I dont think you will have any problems with Planet x when its under 12 months. Was it the same problem as this if you dont mind me asking

Done diddily done. Remembered that a pal had an as good as knew bike with Rival written off by a car very recently, only 200km on it. Replacement shifter now in my possession! Takes the pressure off completely with getting the warranty done.

    :)

Is there any regular maintenance required to the Sram shifters, i.e. cleaning, lubricating, etc.?
