Are boards considering launching an iPad app anytime soon? It's a pain using a browser from the iPad and as a result I am spending way less time on boards :(

I believe Conor has mentioned before that they are doing that.

My guess is that it will be after the API is up and running though.

Conor has moved on to bigger and better things so no longer works for boards.ie.

You could try asking in the site development forum :)

Yes there is an iOS app in development. It's been bouncing around a bit between development and design while we try to get it just right. The mobile guys tell me that active development has started up again but I'm afraid I can't give any firm release dates at this time.

Thanks again for the update. If you need any beta testers let me know :)

I find the regular desktop site works just fine on the iPad and the touch version works well on my phone. Personally I wouldn't be bothered downloading an app for boards but then each to their own I guess.

I find the menus at the top of the page very tricky to use and I have to click on menus with sub menus twice for them to open. Also on the iPad (v3)

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
