The site says that they are closing the server uptime tomorrow and that the beta is well underway already.

Closed beta has been running for a while, fans at EVE fest got access they go in next then it will be rolled out to more and more over the summer until it releases.
By the way it is going to be free when it does release.

That grand so. I only got EvE there during the week at it was on sale on Steam for €6.80. Can't go wrong really. I loved X and X2 so EvE is a massive entension of that concept.

Oh another X series fan. I heard about X4 but nothing much lately.

Not sure how good it's going to be they said that you won't be flying the larger ships any more; the captain of some big ship is not the pilot or something.

Also an FYI: You don't have to win the game of Slay, just play it through till the end

uninstalled the beta, no intention of ever playing this game again. It's a huge disappointment.

Its only in beta, and for a beta i think there is alot of depth and potential. Its not the most eye pleasing game but if you can understand the mechanics you will enjoy it. Playing EVE online kinda helps.

The things i do not like are not lack of polish or glitch/bug related, been playing for a while and it's only crashed once in the last 2 weeks. The graphics could be better but that's still not why i don't like it. it's far too much lvl/item based than skill based, i've put points and isk into vehicles and can destroy everything but what's the point.

It's not fun now when i've gotten good equipment and it was worse when i started.

I suppose persistent world FPS games are not everyones taste. The balancing is very minimum if not non existent. Veterans of the games will have a great advantage over newcomers. Thus veterans will only enjoy fight other veterans on the same level of items and skill not much of determining factor in bigger gaps of level.

Well this is a real piece of junk. I suppose it could be good if they fix it up.

I just don't really know what is going on I didnt enjoy it much but it is only a tiny fraction of the final game and i only played 2 or 3 games. It will depend on how it all pans out when released. I will play it again because it is free but not in any hurry to play it any time soon. Reminded me too much of Halo to be honest.
