    Hello everyone,

The next meeting of the DRC takes place downstairs in Peadar Kearneys at 7.30pm sharp on Thursday May 24th.

We are delighted to confirm the line-up as follows:

7.30pm - guest speaker - John Osbourne, CEO, Irish National Stud
John will give an overview of the bloodstock and breeding world in which he has extensive experience. The discussion will cover the basics, technical aspects, points of interest to punters, and a Q&A. If there are any particular aspects of breeding you would like to hear about please email us in advance.

8.15pm - panel discussion featuring Gary O'Brien (Attheraces), Jonathan Mullin (Racing Post) and Paudie Hassett (Boylesports)
The panel discussion will preview the upcoming Irish Guineas and Tattersalls Gold Cup, the Epsom Derby, and the racing issues of the day.

We hope you'll agree this is our best line-up yet. Thanks to Peadar Kearneys and our panelists for their generosity in giving up their time for free. This goodwill will only continue while we have decent numbers attending our meetings so please do come along and show your support.

    26th May - Irish 2,000 Guineas outing
You can buy tickets to our racecourse outing for the 2,000 Guineas at the preview meeting on the 24th. The Curragh are giving us a good deal including members enclosure entrance, a free racecard, reserved seating and access to the Panoramic bar. As long as we get sufficient numbers a return bus will be arranged from Dublin city centre and we will have a fantastic package on offer. The cost will depend on numbers so please please let us know if you are planning on coming. It promised to be a great day out as anyone who attended our last outing in Leopardstown will agree! We expect transport and tickets to cost around €25pp all-in. This is a fantastic bargain and thank you the Curragh for providing an excellent package.

If you cannot attend the next meeting and wish to attend the racecourse trip just drop us a line and we can easily arrange something.

    Happy punting,

    DRC

Cheers Cassimus, I'll try and come along (said the same the last time but work commitments intervened)
