Transferring petrol between cars

Looking to move petrol from one car to another (long story!) - what's the easiest and safest way to do so? Thinking in terms of a tube with a hand or battery pump on it but not sure where to get such a thing, maybe a pet shop that sells fish tanks and stuff?!

Well if going by movies is anything to go by, just get a few feet of garden hose (maybe narrower, might be hard to suck?) stick one end in the donor car, suck vigorously on the other end.
Probably having a jerrycan or similar at your feet to then the now flowing end into would be most convenient, as you would have gravity to aid the transfer of the petrol.

And have a bottle of mouthwash ready. Ya might just need it

we used to have to do this all the time from Jerry cans into the boat.

Google "Super juggler, self priming siphon hose pump" (don't laugh)

Trust me, they are great, if rude to use (The "W@nk tube" was the nickname)

it's just a marble in a copper tube attached to a hose.

Only problem is getting the hose into the petrol tank. do they not have anti siphon baffles in car filler necks now?

Most tank pipes have a gauze on them now so you can't stick in a tube.

even at +€100 a fill, that explains why cars are not broken into for the fuel.

At what price point will we see fuel theft from cars that involves overcoming this??

Use the gizmos described, don't suck it up with a hose, we used to do that for the Halloween bonfire....(another long story...) , a mouthful of petrol is not good and it doesn't go away quickly with mouthwash!!!!!

If you can get a hose or length of fuel pipe into the tank, try to seal the opening off with a rag or something similar to get the tank air-tight. Then blow into the hose hard enough and this will cause a flow of petrol. Saves the mouthful of petrol, and poisoned lungs!

A syphon would be roughly what it's called. Id. Say a motor factors would have them but I have seen them in the likes of B&Q and Woodies.
