Hi there, this is my first time on boards.ie.

Ive been trying to find a comprehensive list to calculate extension of time costs under the blue form of contract. (Fixed Price). Other than weekly preliminaries are there any other items/costs that should be considered?

No abortive costs have been experienced or out of hours costs due to the employers delay, just an extension to the contract period.

    Can anyone help? Thank you

Go to a chartered PQS firm in your area before you are pillaged.

if its you, hereinafter to be referred to as "the employer" and you caused the delays, (refer to your quote "due to employer delay") changes to orininal plan, additional works, which in turn caused delay and disruption and thus generated an EOT then its all on the table.

his phones, transport, company running costs, business premises, labour, plant, materials, costs associated with D&D insurance.

    what was the contract sum??

on the up side. the contractor must prove the delay disruption and EOT claim with backup, photos, labour allocation sheets, emails, architects instructions etc etc . a good one will prove it no bother.

    Thank you Captain Bligh.

All the items you list are normally under the preliminary costs which in this case are low/week. Would it be fair to increase these costs due to the extension of time ie run over the contract completion date? Ofcourse with back up ie copies of bills, receipts etc?
Note: the prelim costs per week included in the contract do not reflect the actual costs per week. These low costs were reduced to win the contract.

Proof of delay has already been established and agreed with the client and architect.

The contract sum is approx €700K.
