We have 3 races organised by Crusaders AC on the beach at Sandymount Strand on the evening of Thursday 21 June (the longest day of the year)for our annual Bloomsday Festival event. The evening kicks off with two juvenile races at 7.30: one of 800m for children of 8-11 years and the other a 1 mile race for 12-16 year olds. The evening is completed with an adults 3k race at 8pm.

The whole event is only €5 per entry and at least 20% of entry fees will go to Temple Street Children's University Hospital. We are trying to encourage as many children as possible to enter and maybe bring their parents to run the 3k afterwards.

Registration is on the night from 6.15 onwards.

Promises to be a fun evening! Please let everyone know. Thanks.

Just also to point out that it's pretty good value for a fiver. The first 160 adults to turn up on the night will get a free tee shirt.

Just one week to go! Why not enter the family in both the adults' (3k) and the 2 juvenile races (800m (8-11) and 1 mile (12-16)? The children will receive prizes for the top 3 by gender in both races and every child will receive a medal. There will be prizes for the top finishers in the adults race and as mentioned the first 160 to register on the day receive a T-shirt.

Would love to do this (did it last year as family and all enjoyed it) but I won't be here for it this year.
Best of luck, hope it is a big success and stays dry!
