    Anybody know what the huge viaduct at St.Johns was used for.Often wondered.

    Its locally called the Dakey Docks (Aqueduct) it was to take water from the HeadWear up above Inglewood from the River Urrin to feed a water wheel at Letts Brewery at mill park road.

    Been facinated by the thing for a while now, for some reason. Mighty structure and great story to boot,i was thinking probably famine relief but did'nt know the backround to it. cheers.
