    Hi,

I have a laptop that is broken Its toshiba laptop. About 3 years old. I dropped laptop and windows 7 damaged on it. When i tried turn on the laptop it came on ok but windows would not load up. Now the laptop doesnt even turn on at all. If I get it repaired it would cost a lot i guess so better off buying a new one?

My question is. Is there any shops in city centre that buy broken laptops and if so do they buy them for much? Its a decent toshiba laptop.

I also only got a new charger for it 1 year ago that cost 90 euro. What would I get for that?

    Cheers!

Since you didn't say which City I assume Dublin.

Adverts.ie is probably your best bet for selling it.

laptopparts.ie have decent prices if you were to try to fix it.

Oh Sorry thoughtboards belonged to Dublin ;)

Cheers though but are there any shops around dublin where I could just drop the laptop into for sale instead of going online?

If I did sell it on line how do they get the laptop from me?

If you could tell us what happens from when you press the power button I'm sure we can give a rough idea of what could be wrong with it,
whether it is worth fixing or not, some troubleshooting methods you could try etc. Write down any error messages, listen for fans inside and beeps etc.

The funny thing is it could something like a loose cable inside, a dead hard drive or just a corrupt installation. Is the screen damaged?

Shame to see you get fleeced over what could be something simple.

    Hi,

The laptop itself wont turn on at all. Before, I could turn it on I was getting a message saying repair windows. I would click on that and then computer would load up and back round to laptop would come up but no options for start menu or no icons to click on.

There is no outside damage to laptop as in screen or keyboard. I have a new enough charger that cost me 80 euro aswell.

Get it repaired? At least bring it somewhere and let them quote for repair.
