    rite here goes
i have a digital cable coming from my sky sat dish into one bedroom into the back of a sky digital box.this works fine.
I now removed the digital cable and placed into athe center of a splitters and a short screening cable on the left splitter to the sky box and that works fine then i got 5meters of digital cable and added this to the right hand side of the splitters and went to the next room where i have a sky box plugged it in there and low and behold NO SIGNAL i thought that was pretty straight forward but it doesnt seem it.can anyone of you please shine some light on this for me thanks so much.

I was thinking i should get a longer lenght of screening cable(not digital cable)and try that or are they the same cable????????

Every Sky box needs a seperate cable ran from the dish to the box. Plus (+) boxes need two cables ran from the dish to every receiver.

When you get to the dish you need 4 seperate connections. If you only have one on your dish you need to change the thing on the end of the dish (the LNB) to a quad Sky LNB. You can buy these on amazon for about 12 euro delivered. There are different brackets bepending on the age of the dish, but some will provide both types.

You should only use satellite quality cable and proper F connectors. Otherwise you may damage the receiver.

There is no quick fix sorry

The next size up is an octo lnb which has 8 connections.

Yes you can. Just be careful not to get mixed up.
