Ive recently upped the amount of cycling I've been doing, I cycle to work 14 miles in and 12 miles home, I do a cycle at lunch which is 11miles, is it a bad way to judge your average speed if you are doing it in three seperate times, I used to average 18mph just two cycles now I only average 16mph? Could this be over training? I do weekend cycles also, usuall about 140miles over the two days. That's my background :) any help is appreciated

I would consider that a lot of miles unless you've been gradually building up to over a number of years.

What are you trying to achieve by all the miles?

Doing loads of miles at an even pace is only going to make you good at doing loads of miles at an even pace. Or not even, if you're not giving yourself some recovery time.

I'm getting a weird sense of déjà vu here.
