Not as bad as the Dove livery but not great imo. Looks like someones cracked an egg over the front of the aircraft.

Mildly better than the cr@p first one but nothing memorable tbh

    Yep a funny one alright..

Looks like it took off behind an old DC9 with an engine oil leak :D

I agree that the designs are not really 'eye catching' in a good way.....

....however I still think it is a pretty cool PR idea by BA.

I wonder if the costs involved would deter them from doing something similar to a ' heavy ' ?

Probably. I was told a long time ago that a narrowbody costs up to E50K to repaint. Widebodies are up to E120K.

Would love for someone in the know to correct these figures.........

It looks disgusting. Cracked egg analogy spot on.

Apparently the aircraft has been named 'Firefly' and has already flown to Athens to collect the Olympic flame. It will fly back tomorrow (Friday) to RNAS Culddrose in Cornwall to begin its journey around the UK and Ireland.

I'd say it'll fly to BFS. The torch is being paraded around the North for a few days with a short diversion to Dublin and then back north again.

IIRC it's June 3rd when it's due to arrive in Belfast.

Yep. And goes to Dublin and back on the morning of June 6th.

route runs from Derry Peace Bridge- Marble Arch Caves- Croke Park- Garden of Remembrance-Govt Buildings-Mansion House-Newry.

Nice to see the politicos getting an auld photo op with the torch.............plus la change!
