    Can someone answer this - How much would I save per year if given the choice of cars below
    1) Seat Ibiza 1.2L Petrol 2009
    2) Seat Ibiza 1.4TDI Diesel 2009

    14,000 miles per year country+city mileage

    Assuming its these models, annual fuel only cost:

    1.2 S 5d 47mpg, 14000 miles @ 1.70 litre = €2303
    1.4 TDI S (AirCon) 5d 65mpg, 14000 miles @ 1.60 litre = €1566

    Both those figures are on the optimistic side, but the gap would be proportionate, I'd pull the savings by 20% or so
