    Hi All,

Wondering what the most important things to look out for are in a 2nd hand bike?

If it's only a few months old and the seller has a receipt, the bike will still be in warranty, so getting the receipt would be pretty important. Biggest thing other than that is that it is the right size for you, I picked up a 2nd hand bike a while back that was a bit small and have had to change stem and bars to improve the fit. If its too big there's not much you can do. Try taking the bike for a spin, go through all the gears, check the brakes work, listen for rattles etc...

What type of bike is it, and how much are you paying? It's worth looking up the model on a few web sites to get an idea of the new price, so you know whether you're getting value or not.
