    Hi all,

    Some major help needed where possible.

    We have a HP DL380 server with 8 hard discs.

    2 x 36gb in Raid 0
    4 x 146gb in Raid 5
    2 x 146gb in Raid 1

    We have broken the raid configuration and were hoping that we could re-establish the original configuration without having to format the discs.

    Any assistance would be much appreciated.

    Rgds

    Paul.

    Sorry to hear that !!!
    I know the feelings...of a CV review' generating event !??

    I reckon you had RAID at hardware level...

    AFAIK...just insert the disks in the same RAID cller will read the disks config and signature and "hopefully" will recreate the config !
    Do it one set of disks at a time AND in same slots as previously been !
    RAID 0 is gone,forget it...

    If you do not have data backed-up i will not touch the disks anymore !
    You may risk losing the signature on the disks...
    <SNIP>

    Good luck .
