    Hi all
I have a few trips to Dublin over the next couple of weeks to venues at St Stephens Green and Dawson Street. I was thinking of driving to the Red Cow Park and ride and getting the Luas - can anybody advise if this is best and how far away the stop is from both? I dont really want to be driving around the city as I have no idea where Im going! Any info appreciated, thanks!

If you don't mind heading down the M50, it might be more convenient to head to one of the green line Park and Ride places instead. The Green line will bring you directly to Stephen's Green.

If you chose to use the Red Line (Red Cow park and ride), you get off at Abbey St and it's about a 20 minute walk to Stephen's Green from there.

Take a look here for some options:

Stick with the red line, get off at Jervis, cut accross the river, up George Street and it'll be 10-15 minute walk. Overall travel time to include heading out to Sandyford for the Green Line will be much less and traffic leaving Sandyford Ind Est at end of the day can be very heavy.

Make sure you have change for the parking at Red Cow €4 per day.

Slightly more hassle (as in buying two tickets if you don't have a leap card www.leapcard.ie ) but you could get off the Luas at Heuston and get on a 145 bus which will take you to Kildare Street/Nassau Street.

You could use the other p&r facility at the Kylemore stop too.
