I was approached by a recruiter about three weeks ago for a role. After studying the job spec, I applied.

Yesterday, I finally got a date for interview. On Monday. In Dublin.

Normally, this would not be a problem to me. But I have visitors staying from London, so naturally this would be a problem. Told the recruiter, and asked if the interview could be moved. I could do this week, Tuesday pm or Wednesday.

I've now got a telephone interview for Monday am. Not ideal.

I'm wondering if I should withdraw from the interview process altogether, as I feel I'm at a disadvantage doing the interview over the telephone, rather than face-to-face like the other candidates.

Any advice/pointers/slaps round the head appreciated! :D

    TIA :)

Well if you withdraw altogether your chance of getting the job reduces to 0% right? So the alternative (phone interview) seems like a better option...

I reckon you'll have to do a face to face if the telephone interview goes well in any case so just get on with it and good luck!

    Thanks guys! :D

I kinda thought along the same lines. I just wanted to get some other views. It's a nightmare that my friends decided to visit at the same time!!
