Two Galaxy S-1: Two batteries draining

    Hey guys,

My missus and I were on holiday, in Fiji, last week and had no trouble with our Galaxy phones. Roaming was active but data roaming was switched off.

Both our phones were lasting for days, between charges (especially mine as I was not on-line all the time).
We returned, on Sunday, turned our phones on and, by the time we got home from the airport, both batteries completely drained. Charged both phones and the same thing happened.

I am thinking that it might have been an App update that is killing the battery but I have deleted all Apps that I downloaded and still battery is draining.

Any ideas as to what would be causing this?

does your phone have this menu option?
settings - about phone - battery use

this should tell you what's been using the battery

    Display 39%
Cell Standby 20% (this seems higher than normal)
    Android System 11%

I know this sounds stupid but try turning them off and on, i have to do it every now and again, it stops apps that may be trying to do execute an operation in an endless loop
