Bin Service Charges

    A quick question here.

    I paid Bin service charges for roughly 2 years and bought bin tags each time. But all the receipts are missing. Called revenue and they sent me a letter saying that I will need an exact figure to claim the refund. But since I was buying the tags each time, there's no way I can retrieve the amount. Am I screwed here? Or is there hopefully any way around it?

    Without proof of a claim, how can you actually make a claim? If no proof was required then everyone could claim to be paying bin charges at the max rate. It's a pain when you actually have a claim but no proof but there's nothing you can do unfortunately.
