Anyone having a problem when fast forwarding through a recorded program? When I stop at the point I want to watch and hit play it jumps ahead 30-45 seconds. Does the seme thing if I reverse as well. Crazy

Had the technician out Monday and he said the same thing happened to him. Promised to speak to HQ and ring me back and never did. Not happy with going forward and backwards a dozen times til I get to the right spot.

Also last week I turned on my UPC HD box and saw the entire TV planner had been wiped out and was replaced with one recording (that I had not placed) listed 12 times. How is it possible that the same show can be requested 12 times?

Technician had no idea how this happened. Just did a reset of the box. This is my 5th box in 3 years. Twice I had all the recordings mysteriously wiped out. UPC claim they've never seen this before. Getting fed up mith mediocre software and hardware with them.

Was going to switch to SKY last month but UPC offered me a deal to stay. Now I'm stuck with them for 12 months :(

Yeah if you have it at full speed and stop within a couple of sec's it stops fine however if your ff a full ad break it happens as described above, I usually guess when i'm close to the ad's finished and stop and usually close to the return. Pain alright.

Some channels like History always have their own ad last before the end of the break, thats my cue usually for those.

Happens for me too.... just and FYI in case you don't know, the left and right arrows around the OK button jump back and forward 30 secs which can help getting back on track.

Thanks for that tip. But the recorder should stop where ever I stop. Ridiculous you have to stop and go and reverse to find the right spot. Bet this doesn't happen on SKY.

In the set up menu you can set the left and right arrows around the OK button to move in multiples of 30 secs. I have my right arrow moving in 1 minute increments and the left in 30 sec increments. A lot of ad breaks are four minutes long and I just press the right button four times and I've skipped the ads. If it's 4.5 minutes long I press right 5 times and left once. I find it really helpful, and much easier than fiddling with FF and RWD. It's great for quickly skipping to the start of recorded programmes too.

Never knew you could do left and right at differing time ratios?. Interesting will look into that.
