Finding an antique desk?

Am a newbie to antiques - know nothing about them, really - but would like to find an antique desk.

Am thinking of something like this http://www.burrellsantiquedesks.com/antique-desks/529-antique-mahogany-desk.html - in case the image vanishes it seems to be called an 'English Antique Mahogany Pedestal Desk'. Something called a 'Partner desk' would be good, also.

Looking for a genuine antique rather than a reproduction. I saw a suggestion in a previous post that Omans on Capel St. might be worth a look, so I'll nip up there.

Any other suggestions for places to look in the Dublin area? I work during the day but could make time to visit the occasional auction.

As for budget, dunno really. Not as much as some dealer want for their desks, anyway!

    Thanks in advance

I thought that Omans had gone years ago? Anyway, you could also try Francis Street and failing that if you try ringing round the various salerooms you may strike it lucky. All the details are here: http://collectireland.wordpress.com/ but a desk like that won't be cheap. :)

Thanks Judgement Day. Omans' website is gone so I guess it's probably gone too. Looks like it'll be a hard slog!
