Saorview: Deleted RTE 1+1 & RTE Junior by accident; HELP!

    I had lost these channels overnight when heading for bed last night. I use a Laurus STB from Tesco. The only mistake that I made in making them deleted was the TV screen was switched off. I pressed the OK button twice and than pressed two arrowed buttons 2 or 3 times. Another problem is that I have no rooftop aerial fitted into the box. I have an old NTL box fitted behind the box. Because I use that connection, most of the buttons on my Saorview remote control for no reason cannot function.

    In normal circumstances; I could be able to click on the menu button and hit Manual Search and following the instructions from there. I even tried to install the STB into another TV in my living room; and still no joy.

    I watched RTE 1+1 sometimes and find it useful. RTE Junior? Well; I don't watch that channel very often.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    you should be able to go into the menu and select scan.

    (have a look at the manual)

    You got good advice in this thread a while back.

    There's no point repeatedly posting the same problems & doing nothing about it.

    Got the channels back through an automatic channel scan. I put the phone camera up against the remote control. I had replace the batteries with new duracell ones. I had a look through the RTE Digital Aertel too; Happy Days. :D

    I tried the manual search and it didn't work properly. So, I had tried the automatic channel scan thereafter and they came back.

    Thanks so much for that advice; it was well worth it. Even though it took too long to take it up. :D
