Hi all, looking for help to find a decent, economical midsize car on a tight budget. Have you any ideas what I should be looking for, and what I should avoid like the plague? Thanks a million!

How many miles per annum do you do? Are there any requirements for a certain type of vehicle like a people carrier or 4x4?

    Octavia seems popular around here.

Mondeo or Vectra have a lot models for sale. I'm a Mondeo fan and for your budget you can get a lot. For €7k you could get a petrol new model or a clean old model diesel. I like petrol Mondeos for their simplicity and they aren't very uneconomical either.
