i know :pac: but i think the tester will ask to turn them on in the beginning of the test , so im doomed anyway :D

i just thought that if it aint working i fail automatically no matter how good or bad im driving.

From what I recall they only check the brake lights and indicators at the start of the test they didn't check the window wipers that said I wouldn't take the chance with the weather the way it is at the moment.

Sorry just remembered on my first test they didn't check he didn't ask about the wipers as part of the technical/vehicle secondary control checks the second one did and when I pointed out the control he asked me to flick it on as well and spray the windscreen. Sorry if I gave you false hope again it just depends what they ask for.

Still wouldn't risk it considering the schizo weather we've been having.

yap, checked. found that motor is a bit wasted. so it should be it (at least i hope, cause seems i found one :D ) . rear wipers work perfectly, basically everything work perfectly. except the front wipers have failed. started to work just occasionally and then failed .

motor seems to be the problem.. even bigger problem to find one to replace. :(

i recently passed my test in finglas, and the tester asked me how I would use the wipers and the windscreen washer,I pointed to the stalk and explained what to do and asked him would he like me to demonstrate how it works and he said no as he was satisfied once I could explain competently how it operated. So op i-d go for it and pray it doesnt rain

If i was you i would contact someone who does lessons in the area do a pretest in their car and then use it for the test, not cheap but it will be worth it to pass.

    If it rains you fail.
If they ask you to demonstait the wipers you fail.
If you fix the wipers you have fair chance.
If you do a pretest lesson and use an instructors car you have a fair chance.
If you can get insured on another car you have a fair chance.
