Today Iran hanged the man (Mahjid Jamali Fashi) accused of the murder of Iranian nuclear scientist Mansoud Ali-Mohammadi.

Some things may not be quite as they seem:
At first Iran blamed internal terrorist organizations for this, only later did it become an external threat...

The method of assassination closely matches that used by Iranian agents used in Thailand

One interesting thing about the Iranians found in Thailand was that two of them had passports issued on the same day. Which would point to the passports being issued by Iranian security forces perhaps.

However in his testimony Fashi claims he was stopped entering Israel with a visa problem. Why would a Mossad agent be stopped going through passport control? The Iranians got their passport sh1t together, can Mossad not?

In his testimony Jamali claims to have entered Israel coming from Azerbaijan. He was in Azerbaijan alright. He was one of the medal winners during a kick boxing tournament in August 2009.

People who knew him have claimed that he was a serious Ahamdinejad supporter, who took part in beating up "Green Movement" demonstrators during the street protests.

Now here's the connection from Wikileaks :
    Alleged Contract Killings
¶3. (C) xxxxxxxxxxxx said he personally knew one such martial arts master whom he said was used by the Intelligence service to murder at least six different individuals over the course of several months in xxxxxxxxxxxx said that the victims included intellectuals and young "pro-democracy activists," adding that his assassin acquaintance was ultimately "suicided" by the authorities (i.e., killed in what was subsequently labeled a suicide). xxxxxxxxxxxx claimed that his club was raided and greatly restricted xxxxxxxxxxxx after he and the club manager refused to train Basij or lend them their facilities. He said that they also refused to mobilize their membership to assist in repressing local protesters xxxxxxxxxxxx. Although he has stopped working at the school, he claimed to be under relentless pressure to cooperate, xxxxxxxxxxxx
¶4. (C)xxxxxxxxxxxx (Note and Comment: A xxxxxxxxxxxx student recently echoed some of xxxxxxxxxxxx story, noting that xxxxxxxxxxxx could only be held at night as during the daytime his instructors are "required to train the Revolutionary Guard." The use of martial arts clubs members as political enforcers/repressors existed under the Shah, and, according to sources, exists today in several neighboring countries, including the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Some other things about the scientist Mohammadi's politics definitely didn't reflect the party line:
Ahmad Shirzad (reformist member of the 6th Iranian Parliament, professor of physics in Isfahan and Masoud Alimohammadi's close friend) writes "In general his beliefs and actions were close to that of moderate Muslims... During the past couple of years he had ideologically become very close to the reformist movement. In the past few elections before the recent presidency election, he had voted for the reformist candidates and had been campaigning for them too." Shirzad adds that Alimohammadi told him how he and his students took part in 2009 Iranian election protests, 16 June.

Furthermore Mohammadi's research was quite distinct from nuclear physics. He wasn't even involved in the Iranian Nuclear program.

Also when Mohammadi was killed FARS photographers accidentally photographed one "Abu-Nasser", a known Hezbollah operative was identified at the scene.
In a photo taken shortly after the explosion, the photographer had accidentally captured the image of a man standing calmly with one hand in his pocket in the rubble in front of what was left of Ali-Mohammadi's  car.  Careful analysis of this photograph positively identified this man as "Abu-Nasser", a known Lebaneses Hezbollah operative and assistant to Manif Ashmar who is Hezbollah's public face in Iran.
They have been frequently spotted to be involved in the suppression of people in recent demonstrations following the elections. Although this explosion is claimed to be plotted by terrorists opposing the revolution and the regime, presence of Hezbolah terrorists on the scene suggests the opposite. Some believe this to be an inside job in order for the regime to take advantage of the atmosphere of fear, by providing an excuse to further suppress the opposition that could be blamed for either committing the act or providing the background for it.
