donno about anyone else, but i registered many years ago on this website then i removed my account from them as they had been hacked a few years ago.
now out of the blue I'm getting email says....
Thank you for your recent job application.

We are currently reviewing all applicants.

Once this review has been conducted we will contact you immediately. However, unfortunately, due to the large number of applicants, we will only be able to reply to successful candidates.

    Yours Sincerely,
    HR Manager
    Elverys Sport- Sport for Life

    and
Thank you for your recent job application to TGI Fridays.

Due to the volume of applications received, we will only respond to candidates who we are in a position to call for interview.

    Yours sincerely,
    HR Team

I get a few spams a week that I think are connected to the hacking of recruitireland.ie ( think it was them anyway ) - all scams of course - huge salaries but of course you have to give your bank details !

Ya I cancelled my account with them a while back as I wasn't sure if the jobs on site were even genuine. I spotted a database issue with Irishjobs.ie but didn't realise it were hacked into!? I was with recruitireland.ie and think it had been hacked into so cancelled my account with them since.

Any time I find a recruitment site getting spammy I cancel the account or move it to another email address can spam away, does my head in though even after I cancel had found that with another recruitment site I cancelled my account with them and still got spam stuff.

Is it just me or has there been a further dip in graduate jobs in the last while? In particular in IT jobs for some reason!? Though sales and marketing jobs seem to be becoming popular again?

FAS are now called Solas - no difference and as bad as ever . I suspect Solasjobs may be what used to be FASJobs ?

I am in Kerry so a bit of a move up there...have noticed that alright Galway seem to be doing well with creating IT jobs and hiring.

The updated version of FAS is no different to what it was before. Some jobs are just scarce at the moment in particular web programming/design and technical support jobs needing a foreign language finding them hard to crack into them at the moment. I've a little experience in social media but not at lot to get into a job. :/ Not only that they are advertising jobs outside of Ireland on FAS so what gives should they not be promoting Irish jobs if not creating them at least but you need money to create a job never mind pay who employers hire!

Job-bridge thing, is a bit up in the air really!?

I suspect the problem with Jobs.ie is old mails sitting in their mail queue for some reason only got sent this week. So it's a technical issue.

Solasjobs.ie has nothing to do with FAS.
