Anyone Reccomend Good AV Sender for Standard UPC Box?

I started a thread a few weeks ago about how I couldn't get any signal on new TV for my bedroom. It turned out the analogue singal from UPC wasn't switched on and would have to pay 3.50 a month if I wanted it switched on or 5 quid a month for the multiroom.

I went to order the multiroom today and realised it wasn't even the standard set top box I had it was just the digital (8.80 pm if you want the Digital +). On top of this the signal is a little dodgy and freezes for a second every 20 mins or so.

Anyway to save myself a small fortune of getting UPC to come out and give me a new point and the monthly charges, I was thinking it would be a whole lot easier if someone knows of or is using a good wireless AV sender so I can keep the living room box downstairs and have tv upstairs!

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated :D

Your better off just paying the extra fiver. Av senders don't allow you to watch different programs.

You could use a Triax Tri-Link to send the signal upstairs and u can control the box up there via a magic eye in the same way a skybox works.

However you will only have the same channel up there but u should be able to run the analog cable up as well if you know what your doing.

Was under the impression AV senders don't work on UPC boxes at all but here's a strange one.....have a Nikai 5.8ghz sender/receiver attached to a Sky box, works a treat....there's also a UPC box downstairs, it's not connected to the AV sender but will still send the tv signal to an upstairs tv when the Sky box is switched off (tv downstairs must be switched on to do this)

I understand that is the case with UPC HD boxes -
When HDMI is connected to the TV the SCART output on the box goes dead so cannot be used for videosenders (or VCRs, DVD recorders etc)!

    Would the following work?????

Enjoy wireless freedom in HD with the Prestigio HDMI Bridge

The cable free plug-and-play solution for extending any audio/visual sources utilising HDMI, such as satelite boxes, digital video players, PC's, laptops, game consoles to any high definition digital TV, LCD display or projector. The Emporio Wireless HDMI Bridge allows you to play your favourite games in your living room with the console in your study, show all the big sporting events across several screens and mount your projector on the ceiling or wherever without the hassle of cables.

Just power on and the TX & RX will automatically link!

Stream your 1080p signal to another HD TV wirelessly
No cables or signal amplifier needed
IR signal repeater so you can change channel from the receiving TV
Ideal for use with HD projectors
One to many media display (additional receivers required)
1080p range of uo to 25M, 720p range up to 50M
    Resolution: 1080p @ 30fps

    Big Nelly,

The Wireless HDMI you linked to is probably not suitable in your case. If you already have a cable running to each room for Sky multiroom and you want to switch to UPC multiroom then UPC can try to re-use the Sky cables in place already.

Using a cable is always preferable over wireless.
