Metal door/lock advice

I have a door leading onto a back lane. It's a double door and locks with a chubb lock in the middle. The problem is that I need to use 2 hands to pull the side with the lock in towards me so that I can get the chubb key to unlock - and not having a third hand to turn the key makes life difficult! I need to find out if it just needs a replacement lock or if something has to be done to the door. I've tried WD40 etc. on the hinges, but it just seems to need brute force to pull it forward so that the key will turn and unlock. Any ideas?
    Thanks
