I'd love to do this but I wonder what it's like - I run this course all the time and it's a smashing course but I'd imagine it's way too narrow for a race? It's only footpath wide in most spots and some of it would be grassy. Anyone do it last year?

Grimbergen, you're right the course is just footpath in some areas but this is the third year of Camara doing this run, each year with a couple of hundred people, and there's never been an issue with space.

BenMicheal, the run is open to all ages and abilities and you can walk, jog, hobble or run. Registration and sign in on the morning of the run will be in Merrion Hall from 8am. The Run will start at 9am sharp. Here is a better link to the course route http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/90164845/. Runners will go along Strand Road, do 3 laps of Sean Moore Park and then out to the Irish Nature Reserve before coming back along Strand Road. There will be Camara t-shirts and medals for all who participate.
Check Camara Charity 10k Run for more info

Quick Question - When does the online regestration close?

BenMicheal, registration will be available online until friday afternoon. It won't close as such but there won't be anyone in the office to process the application after 5pm on Friday. Race packs can be collected on the day by competitors if there hasn't been sufficient time to post it out. Hope that clears everything up. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the day.

Is the race chip timed?

Where is Merrion Hall?

As far as i know this is a hotel across the road from the RDS, coudl be wrong tho!?

The race will have an official clock timing all competitors but it's not chip timed I'm afraid Doinker, sorry.
Artvandelay48, the Merrion Hall is a large office block located on Strand Road, Sandymount. Travelling from Blackrock, take the right turn over the dart line at Merrion gates, it's the next office block on the left. Coming from Irishtown on Strand road, it's on the right hand side, at the Blackrock end of the Sandymount promenade.

Yes, there is parking there. Not sure if it's old Enterprise Ireland building though.
