How to cancel a MasterCard?

    IT'S MasterCard NOT Visa sorry about that!

    Hi! I have a MasterCard card from Bank of Ireland and I want to cancel it. Do I have to go to Bank of Ireland or I should call to MasterCard?

    there is a number on reverse of card, ring this number, its the credit card centre you need to speak to.

    Phone the credit card centre, not the branch. You will need to clear the balance and will have to pay €30 government stamp duty on the card as tax year for this starts from 2nd April so you would be liable to pay this.
