Considering a Macbook Air 11" or 13". I wanted the 11" because I travel quite a bit but now Im beginning to think the screen size will be too small. Anyone got the 11" and wished they had went for the 13"? Or anyone able to offer any advice for picking one over the other?

    Cheers!

Well, don't buy either right now, there is a refresh to all apple laptops due sometime soon.

I have the 11-inch and I love it. The only major disadvantage compared to the 13-inch is the battery life. 5 hours versus 7. And the screen is a bit small alright. I don't have any regrets though because I wanted something very light and compact.

I wouldn't use an 11" one as my main computer without an external display for home use.

I wish I'd done that instead of getting a 15" MBP to be honest, or if could justify it, an iMac and a MBA!

I'd consider 11" to be a little too small. I don't know what the weight of the 13" MacBook Air is but I imagine it's similar to the 13" Asus ZenBook, which I've played about with and it is a nice size and very light.

What do you plan on using it for?

I'm delighted with the 11" Air, it's not much bigger than an iPad, just a little longer, has a real keyboard and it's a real computer. I considered an iPad before I starting using the Air, but now I'm delighted I didn't get one.

I use it for general stuff, email, browsing (online banking etc), remote access to other machines, SSH. I haven't found the screen size to be a problem, the resolution is very good for it's size. I have a desktop (Macpro) for heavy work (but I often remote to than from my Air).

If the 11" Air could support up to 8GB Memory, and two thunderbolt monitors, I'd get rid of my desktop completely.

I've a 13 inch Macbook pro. I wouldn't be able to work on a smaller screen. That said the new Macbooks should feature a higher resolution than my 2009 machine.

The 11" Air has a higher resolution screen than the 13" Pro, the 13" air has the same resolution as the base model 15" pro. If you have good eyesight, the 11" screen shouldn't be a problem. I have a 13" air and my housemate has an 11", they're both great machines and I'd be happy with either. That said, MiniNukinfuts makes a good point about refreshes coming up. The next MBP is rumoured to have a much thinner chassis, and there's a lot of talk about retina-class displays on new machines. I'd be inclined to wait.
