    hi all,

see I have a small problem with my 2005 corolla

when I set the position of the interior light(thats the light over the centre console) to door position, it stays on constanly regardless of door open or closed

the rubber covered switch on the car door frame (the spring loaded button that gets pushed in and out according as you open and close the door) is not stuck, I can push it in and out without issue using my fingers

    any ideas?

Possibly one of the switches is faulty or a broken wire to one of them.

crisis averted I think it seems to go off after 15secs from when the door is closed, the last one I had a 00 model used to go out straight away, I guess this is the newer technologh

should also go off within a second or two of locking the car.
