Have the VRT rates changed for vans recently?

I thought it was €50 for commericals, but I went onto the ROS web site and its over €1500 to import a sprinter van but I can't even put in the correct details.

Have they changed the rules recently???

    Thanks

VRT on a commercial vehicle (except cat B vehicles) is 200 euro.

Is the Sprinter a full commercial, or is it a crewcab?

Its a crewcab, with 2 removeable rear seats and 2 rear windows.
On the ROS website there is a section for
" N1 Commercial Vehicle not exceeding 3500 kilograms GVW" but its very limited about van details,
I want to make sure I'm not hit for some mad money for vrt before i buy the van

Crew cabs are VRT'd at 13.3%. Pretty sure that is across the board now - used to be if it met certain weight and load area requirements that it was liable for the €50 (now €200).

Been quoting a couble of Crew Cabs in the past few weeks and they are at 13.3% VRT - factory LWB 3.5Ton vans.

Same as, sold 2 crewcab vitos recently and they are VRT'd at 13.3%. One of them cost over 7k to vrt! Altho when you look at what was on it for the total price it was pretty good.

Op best thing is to not bother with the online enquirey here and go to your local vrt office with all the details and see what they can do, dont forget to get a stat code if they give you a price.

Just for inforormation the VRT rate for a light commercial ie less than 3500kg GVW changed from €50 to €200 last jan, heavier vehicles are still €50
