just saw a video about this new camera thats come out recently and while the pictures it takes aren't the best,
it has a really good concept for its focusing. from what i gathered from reading about it is that you take the picture
and by wizardry inside the camera it reads all the light available to the camera, and then when you get home
and sync it up to your camera you can choose where in the photo to focus.

I think this is a revolutionary product that eventually will hopefully be introduced to cameras in the future,
i know i've taken photos where ive messed up the focus and only realise when i check it out on the computer screen.
this would allow you to take the photo once and always be in focus. but from the sample pictures it produces
its a few years away before its anywhere near good enough quality, but as a concept its one im looking forward to,
especially as ive only started my path into photography.

Publishing photos your image with the focus editable is quite gimmicky IMHO. In a way, I see it as distinct from photography as you're not really creating a single image.

It would be great to have in proper cameras (as opposed to a box, not being DSLR elitist :P) where, for example, you've focused on someone's nose instead of eyes in a portrait.
