Looking for a bit of help. I have a Evo 1 and have been doing some work on it for a while now. I just got it back from being tuned at the moment it is running at 400bhp at 1.5 to 2 bar of boost. I have being havimg issues with the breaks though. The car was not drove for a while before getting the new engine and tuned but I got new break pads(FERODO DS2500 BRAKE PADS) new discs all around and new breaded break lines all new fluids and well bled all around. While driving the breaks are not stopping well they fade from time to time and when on full boost the break peddle is lifting about a inch or so. The issue with the breaks was never a issue before. Has anyone any idea of what would be causing this as I have checked everything and all looks ok

Sounds like there could be a vacuum issue. Excess boost pressure getting back into the servo would cause the pedal to lift like you describe.

I know very little about your car but, sounds like your getting positive pressure into the servo. Oneway valve on servo pipe?

    )ND got there first)

Thanks Nssan Doctor I was thinking along them lines. There is no one way valve on the line form the inlet manifold to the servo I checked this against another Evo2 and this has the same setuo. Maybe a one way valve would help here? or would this restrict anything.

Thanks Mech1 was thinking along them lines. There is no 1 way valve here and this was checked against another Evo with a standard setup and its the same. If I installed a valve here would this cause any restrictions?

Head over to www.irishmoc.org . Its a Mitsubishi owners club, a lot of Evo owners over there. I'm sure you'll find an answer there.
