otter for taxidermy

    Early last year i got a big fully grown female otter dead off the road without a mark. I have her in the freezer sense, if anyone wants her for mounting they are welcome to her.

    I'd say 4200fps might be interested,he has a reputation for mounting anything :D

    I believe that because it is a protected species you still have to notify NPWS that you have it, or the taxidermist has to notify them that you brought on in to be stuffed for them to inspect it, happened to me years ago with an owl I found dead, anything protected a taxidermist has to report, otherwise if his freezer/premises are inspected he could be in trouble, I stand to be corrected on this

    Ya have to bring it to da vet. he will x-ray it to make sure it wasn't shot. He will then write a letter stating whether it was a natural death or not. The taxidermist needs this letter before he mounts it.

    No problem the local ranger saw her and there is or will be no problem in that sense.
