    Calling Garmin 500 nerds!
I'm gonna upgrade from Polar CS 100 to Garmin 500. Am I correct in thinking that the Garmin will pick up the polar strap and cadence sensors on two bikes? - I'm trying to save money, for the time being at least

Nope. Garmin uses Ant+ while Polar uses W.I.N.D, not interchangable.

It looks I'll have to get the 'bundle' so (anyone upgrading and selling?).
There was a thread here not too long ago about best price but I can't find it. Amazon are 268E as opposed to CRC at 288E. I usually deal with CRC and always satisfied, but not for 20E more.

Fixie Fox, interested in selling the chest strap for the polar? mine is gone missing somewhere?

Sure, plus a couple of cadence sensors and speed sensors if you are interested. I'll get back to you when I buy - you might get something in the meantime.

What do you gain in the Garmin 500 that is not with the Polar CS500 or CS600? Save you changing the sensors etc.

First of all it's satellite based as opposed to wheel magnet, which leads to various advantages - maps and strava and all that stuff..
Secondly, it's compatible with power meter if I get lucky.
